Badan Usaha Milik Desa (BUMDes) are economic entities owned and managed by village communities in Indonesia. The existence of BUMDes has had a significant impact in increasing economic growth in remote areas. Through a qualitative approach, data was collected from various sources including literature and interviews with related parties. The research results show that BUMDes act as a driving force for the local economy by presenting new opportunities in rural economic development. The contribution of BUMDes can be seen in increasing community income, meeting community needs, and developing independent village.
