Abstract

This study aims to measure the level of economy, efficiency, and effectiveness of the financial performance of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government for the fiscal years 2020-2022, using a value-for-money analysis. The research employs secondary data. The results indicate that, in terms of economy, the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government achieved a performance level below 60% with a highly economical criterion for the fiscal years 2020 to 2022. Regarding efficiency, the research findings demonstrate that the financial performance efficiency of the provincial government from 2020 to 2022 is considered sufficient. The calculation results for the effectiveness of the financial performance of the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government in 2020 indicate an effectiveness rate of 98.90%, while for the years 2021 to 2022, the effectiveness rates are categorized as ineffective at 38.55% and 51.89%, respectively. These findings illustrate that the Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Government still needs effective financial performance and has been unable to realize programs as expected.
